Love your comment on the motorcycle helmet law discussion. Way too many laws. Let adults decide for themselves. Bravo!

As we enter 2013 hopefully all the political BS that is going on in Washington will end, but it seems that there is no common language. Hopefully we will find it in the near future. -- Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year!

SSN 772, interesting history. I took a tour of CG 49 USS Vincennes 1n 1997. Even that long after the Iranian airline incident, we were told not to ask about it. Most of us were 16 to 18 year old Canadian Sea Cadets in 1997, so we didn't know anything about what happened anyways.

Well, they're not fooling you, me, and many others; though just like Obama, Bush and Clinton, along with Boehner, Pelosi and Gingrich, as well as Paulson, Geithner, Bernanke and many others, they lie and think they're getting over on us as well as everyone. However, they do have the majority of people fooled; not just the automakers, but those I mentioned as well. Every vehicle I've ever owned, I've improved upon, and even before I owned any, I worked on and improved upon my parents vehicles to an extent. My point is, if I and others can do better with a vehicle, then why can't they? They just don't want to and some are too stupid and book educated to do so.

Definitely right about the mileage and the old 3.8 liter V6 from Buick. I had one myself and it was great getting over 30 mpg on the highway. Wish I had the money, I'd get it up past 40 mpg today.
